I'm a 20-year resident of Kennett Township who was elected to the Kennett Township Board of Supervisors in 2013.  As an elected official, my focus has been Preservation of Open Space, Safety and Sharing Financial Information. I have also added flexibility to businesses to grow in Kennett Township, and supported improving energy efficiency and the expanded use of renewable energy, having a range of affordably priced homes, and constructively working with surrounding municipalities to our mutual benefit.

My wife Sara and I have been home-owners in Kennett Township for 20 years, where we raised our two sons, Michael and David, now grown and living in Philadelphia. I am the son of a public school elementary school teacher and a pharmacist, both of whom moved nearby to Kendal-Crosslands about 5 years ago.  I graduated Phi Beta Kappa in Chemistry from Duke University. I am also a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine, with post-graduate training at Duke University and the National Institutes of Health.

After arriving in Kennett in 1999, I worked for DuPont Pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca, and Incyte Corporation, focusing on new drug development. Since 2011, I have been a home-based consultant helping several companies developing novel drugs for patients with arthritis and autoimmune diseases. This arrangement has allowed me the time and flexibility to devote myself to fulfilling my duties on the Board of Supervisors, as well as various volunteer efforts for the United Way of Southern Chester County, After-the-Bell and the Jewish Federation of Delaware, where I served on the Board of Directors.

I reside in a restored stone barn with my wife,

and our rescue dog Tupper,

who very much enjoy walks in our neighborhood and at Barkingfield Park.
